I'm a Melbourne photographer, and I made Carry & Kit because I couldn't find camera bags or packing advice made for women like me.

I travel slowly, with a camera at my hip, photographing the walls and surfaces of the places I pass through: torn posters in Tangier, weathered plaster in Hanoi, layered paint in Paris and Rishikesh. Those days are long and mostly on foot.

For years I carried camera bags that were heavy, black and clearly built for someone with a bigger kit and broader shoulders. They shouted "expensive camera" in crowded markets, and they looked nothing like anything I'd choose to carry otherwise. The packing advice I found online assumed a car boot full of gear.

Carry & Kit is the resource I wanted: bags that fit a woman's frame and style, packing lists for real trips, and a packing tool that tells you when your kit is too heavy to carry all day.
